Once more, with feeling.

Oh dear. Carly Manning on Days of Our Lives just exclaimed, “I SHOT MY OWN DAUGHTER.”  Fortunately, unlike Sonny Corinthos, Carly actually has feelings and isn’t a mobster, so she isn’t likely to try to place blame on this on other people.  (I’m looking at you, Sonny, telling Olivia that if she’d only told him about Dante years ago, their lives would all be different.  Sonny might not be the mobster he is today.  Barf.)  Unfortunately for Carly, unlike Sonny, half of Salem hates her for no reason, so she’s likely to be looked down upon for what she’s done, while Sonny gets off scot free.  As always.  Sigh.

Vivian was definitely trying to bring the 80’s back with her shoulder pads this week.

Days Legend Frances Reid Dead at 95 →

Not going to lie, this makes me kind of sad.  Rest in peace, Alice Horton.  I really, really, really hope that whenever Days pays tribute to Frances Reid/Alice Horton that they pull out all of the stops and get as many Hortons as possible to appear on the show.  She was the last remaining original character/actor from the very first show.  She deserves the biggest tribute possible.

I’ve come to the conclusion …

… that the best actors on Days of Our Lives (yes, I watch soaps and LIKE THEM A LOT, THANK YOU VERY MUCH) right now are the twins who play baby Sydney.

I also lovelovelove that Vivian is back.  When I started watching Days in high school, I thought she and Ivan were hilarious together.  Even though she came back without Ivan this time, I love that she’s still just as snarky and hilarious as ever.

Days is pretty good right now.  Well done, show.  Well done.
